Your Right To Know - Nonstick Coatings

American Kitchen non-stick products contain man-made per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).  PFAS are a large, complex group of manufactured compounds widely used to make everyday consumer and industrial products. There are thousands of fluorochemicals that make up the PFAS family, divided into two classes: nonpolymers and polymers. Fluoropolymers, such as PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), PFA (Perfluoroalkoxy Alkane) and FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene) are intentionally added substances widely used for nonstick coatings on the food -contact surface of cookware and bakeware products.
